BURNOUT
A state of emotional, physical and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged work-related stress. This syndrome often occurs in people who are exposed to high work demands, long-term work overload and lack of rest and support.
Symptoms of burnout syndrome include:
- Exhaustion: You feel tired all the time and have no energy, even after getting enough rest.
- Decreased performance: You have trouble concentrating, making decisions and completing tasks.
- You feel drained emotionally and have a reduced ability to cope with stressful situations.
- You lose interest and motivation in your work and feel frustrated and cynical.
- You feel that you are not fulfilling your job responsibilities and that you are not successful.
- Physical symptoms: You may experience headaches, digestive problems, muscle tension or sleep problems.
